Telestial Travel Phones – International Mobile Calls

Arrive overseas ready to call with a Telestial SIM card

Staying in touch with family and friends with your mobile phone is an essential part of modern life. Keeping that day to day convenience of home with you when you travel overseas with an international mobile phone, made just for the international traveler, is now a travel essential.

Telestial are the experts in providing international travelers with full ready-to-roam mobile phone packages that include unlocked GSM handsets and global SIM cards to get you calling as soon as you arrive overseas.

Sometimes, you’ll be able to take your existing cell or mobile phone with you overseas and make calls, but there are some areas we recommend checking out first. If you’re a T-Mobile or AT&T cell phone customer, your handset may be dual-band GSM and work only in North America. If you suffer from owning incompatible Verizon or Sprint CDMA handsets, then you’ll need a new handset in all but Canada, Mexico and few Caribbean countries.

But the real killer on taking your existing cellular phone abroad is the rates. International roaming on plans not created for calling home from international locations can be very expensive. Demand for cheaper calling from abroad has led to the development of Telestial’s purpose built international SIM cards and travel cell phones.

A SIM card is the small chip that easily allows GSM phones to operate on different networks. Inserting a Telestial SIM into a GSM handset will instruct the handset to make and receive your international calls on far cheaper calling plans than your current domestic operator. Just snap the SIM card into your handset and you’re set to roam with a new world cell phone!

All Telestial SIM cards are prepaid and come with starting airtime. Adding more credit can be done through our 24/7 Customer Service, online or over the phone’s own recharging menu with your credit card. There is no monthly expiry on your credit; it will remain active for 9 months from your last phone call.

If you already have an unlocked, tri or quad-band GSM handset for your international trip, all you need is a SIM card to get you calling!

Have a look at the SIM cards below to choose the right calling plan for your trip.

Telestial GSM handset and International SIM Card packages

If you need a new handset to use with your International SIM card, then Telestial has that covered too. You will need a new handset if you have service with CDMA networks Verizon or Sprint. CDMA technology won’t work in Europe, Africa, Asia and The Pacific, Australia and some South American countries. If you have a dual-band GSM handset with AT&T or T-Mobile, again, you will need a new handset. 850/1900 GSM frequencies are used in North America, while much of the rest of the world operates on the 900/1800 GSM frequencies. If your handset is tri or quad-band and unlocked you will be ok, but if not Telestial recommend the following travel cell phone options:
